Original Oil Paintings on Canvas - Open Sky Series
Working primarily in oils on canvas, my open sky paintings are inspired by the sky, light, and our earth that grounds us. Contemplation of - and connection to - the sky is the main focus of these works. Each painting has its own nuance and subtleties revealed in the scene, evidenced by interplay of brush strokes with light, committed to a singular overriding exploration, pondering possibilities rather than absolutes. A fleeting moment of time with enigmatic beauty is captured with silent wonderment preserved eternal. I pursue the mood of every vista divulged by inimitable cloud formations, filled with ever-developing light and shadow, and, most of all, allure.
